Our commitment
Aerion strives to conform to WCAG 2.2 Level AA across this website and our member portal. Aviation is already an environment full of barriers — we don't intend to add any of our own.
What we've done
- Semantic HTML structure with landmarks (
header, nav, main, footer). - Color contrast ratios verified at 4.5:1 minimum for body text, 3:1 for large text.
- Keyboard navigation tested across the entire booking flow.
- Animations respect
prefers-reduced-motion. - Form fields with persistent labels, descriptive errors, and ARIA live regions.
- Screen-reader testing on NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver each release.
On the ground & in the air
- Wheelchair-accessible boarding via portable lift on the King Air, Pilatus PC-12, and Citation M2.
- Service animals welcome on every aircraft at no charge.
- Hearing-loop compatibility in our Kingston hangar lounge.
- Captain's briefings available in writing or on request via Captioned Telephone Relay.
- Dietary accommodations communicated 12 hours in advance are guaranteed.
Known limitations
We are honest about what is not yet fully accessible:
- Some legacy PDF itineraries are scanned images. We are migrating to text-tagged PDFs through Q3 2026.
- The destination atlas SVG provides text alternatives but does not yet support full keyboard exploration.
- Two of our seven aircraft (the Pitts S-2C and the Bonanza) cannot accommodate non-ambulatory passengers. We will always tell you this before booking.
